The Richter & Phillips Company is located at 6th and Main Streets in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Richter & Phillips was founded in 1896 by Cincinnatian's C. Edward Richter and three brothers by the name of Phillips.
In the beginning, the company was a wholesale jeweler with a nationwide mail order catalog.
The customer base consisted of small retail stores purchasing for resale. As time went on, individuals began receiving their catalogs and they, too, were able to buy merchandise at wholesale prices.
In 1930, Fred W. Fehr bought the Phillips' brothers share of the business. In 1936, when Mr. Richter died, it became the Fehr family business, as it is to this day, over 110 years later. The name Richter & Phillips has been maintained along with its well deserved reputation of Cincinnati's diamond experts.
Richter & Phillips has three Graduate Gemologists on staff for appraisals of your fine gemstones and jewelry. There is also a jeweler and engraver on staff to provide quick turnaround time on all your jewelry repairs.
Richter & Phillips will complete repairs on all types of jewelry including platinum, gold and silver. They provide in house repairs on all models of watches, as well as offering replacement watch bands and batteries. In addition, Richter & Phillips provides engraving services on silver, crystal, trophies and jewelry, including laser engraving of any material.
